ITB and the Ministry of Villages Strengthen Sustainable Collaboration

Jakarta, August 27, 2025 — The Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) received a visit from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to strengthen the existing collaboration. The main focus of this meeting is the optimization of the Desanesha application, an innovation designed to be a bridge between the needs of rural communities and the expertise of ITB lecturers.

This meeting, held at the Main Building of the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, is a continuation of the synergy that has been established over the past two years. The Desanesha application allows ITB lecturers to provide guidance and mentoring to communities in various villages, ensuring that community service activities (PM) are more focused and effective.

The ITB delegation was led by Dr.rer.nat. David Prambudi Sahara, S.T., M.T., as Deputy Director for Community Service. Also in attendance were Selvie Amriani, S.Si., M.T. (Head of the Subdirectorate for Programs, Monitoring, and Evaluation), Ferdyansyah Poernama, A.Md. (Head of the Community Service Management Section), and Nisa Refika, S.Si. (Community Service Staff).

From the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, the representatives present included Taofik Hidayat, S.Si., M.Si. (Head of Cooperation Section), Eko Supriyatin, SE. (Team Leader for Cross-Ministry and Development Partner Cooperation Facilitation), and Jannati Gakenti, S.I.Kom. (Staff of the Cross-Ministry and Development Partner Cooperation Team), along with representatives from other Echelon I Work Units.

During the meeting, several important points were discussed, including: enhancing collaboration between ITB's community service activities and programs run by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemendes PDT), initiating the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a formal basis for long-term cooperation, and optimizing the Desanesha application as a supporting tool for implementing programs in villages.

This meeting is expected to be a solid initial step in building sustainable synergy between higher education institutions and the government in advancing villages in Indonesia.
