Jakarta – ITB Patriot 2025 Expedition Team has been officially dispatched to carry out strategic missions in 29 transmigration areas and 3T regions across Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua. This farewell event, held at the Kartika Expo Center in Balai Kartini, South Jakarta, was attended by important figures from the government and academia.
The team's symbolic release was carried out by the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Dr. Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, M.Sc., M.P.A., M.A., and the Minister of Transmigration, Dr. Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara, along with several ministry leaders and rectors from universities participating in this program.
From the Bandung Institute of Technology, also present were the Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., along with other leaders such as Ir. Lavi Rizki Zuhal, Ph.D. (Vice Rector for Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Sri Maryati, S.T., MIP. (Executive Director of Multicampus), and Prof. Dr. apt. Muhamad Insanu, S.Si., M.Si. (Director of Student Affairs), as well as Dr.rer.nat. David Prambudi Sahara, S.T., M.T. (Deputy Director for Community Service).
This expedition, involving 285 lecturers and students, is a flagship program of the Ministry of Transmigration, fully supported by the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (KemenDes), and other ministries under the coordination of the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development. Fifty-seven ITB lecturers from 12 faculties/schools participated in this program as team leaders. The main focus of this activity is the strengthening of excellent human resources, socio-economic research, and the design of sustainable development in transmigration areas, which is expected to bring positive and significant impacts to the communities in those regions. The ITB team focuses on topics such as Infrastructure Policy Design, Regional Economic Institutional Models, Conflict Management and Prevention, Appropriate Technology, Transit Ports, Development of Superior Commodities, and Transmigration Area Evaluation.
