Education is one of the main factors that determines a nation's progress. The meaning of Article 31 of the Law is that every citizen has the right to education without exception throughout Indonesia. However, in reality, the condition of Indonesia, which is vast and consists of various islands, means that educational services cannot be felt evenly by the community, especially those in the regions. This causes the quality of education in Indonesia to be uneven, resulting in a significant gap between life in the city and in suburban areas. Several efforts have been made by the ministry of education and culture to overcome existing problems. One of the Ministry of Education and Culture's programs carried out for regional development and educational equality is school digitalization. This program is to ensure that educational services can fulfill their rights for people in cities and regions. School digitalization is an effort made by the Ministry of Education and Culture to adopt digital technology in order to improve the learning process in schools. In this case, schools must have adequate technological infrastructure such as stable internet access, hardware and software needed for online learning. Apart from that, training is also needed for teachers in terms of operating the digital technology that will be used as well as compiling learning materials in digital format that can be accessed by students easily and quickly. Development is carried out in areas that need it to help build internet access infrastructure and digital content as well as optimize the use of available infrastructure. By adopting the right technology and effective learning strategies, school digitalization can provide a more interesting, interactive and effective learning experience for students. This will certainly help in improving students' digital skills and equip students with the abilities needed in the current digital era. In Indonesia itself, there are still many areas that have limited educational resources, such as the West Coast district in Lampung Province, which really need the helping hand of various parties. Pesisir Barat Regency is one of the regencies in Lampung Province which was inaugurated in 2013. At a relatively young age, the regional government continues to strive to develop all available potential. However, this could not run well according to expectations due to limited resources and problems. One of the problems experienced is in the education sector where education has not fully reached all communities and there are also limited infrastructure. Reporting from the media newspaper.tempo.co, there is an inequality of education in the regions where people in the regions find it difficult to get the same quality of education as in the city.
1. Increase student access and participation in learning using digital technology 2. Improving the quality of learning by providing wider access to educational resources 3. Helps improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching and learning. 4. Help develop students' skills in facing the digital era. 5. Maximizing library functions in the form of digital space by utilizing local Content Delivery Network (CDN) technology
Implementing Content Delivery Network (CDN) technology for school digitalization provides various benefits at local to global levels. For Expertise Groups/Faculties. This project provides research and development material for expertise groups, especially in the fields of information technology, networks and education. Faculty can use this project as a case study to deepen the application of CDN technology to effectively support digital learning. For the ITB Campus, they can improve their academic reputation through real contributions to the digitalization of education. In addition, the involvement of students and lecturers in this project provides relevant practical experience to strengthen their professional competencies. For Indonesia, at the national level, this project supports Indonesia's vision towards digital transformation, especially in the education sector. With faster and more efficient access to learning content, the digital divide in remote areas can be reduced, encouraging educational inclusivity. For the Global World, this implementation shows the potential for adapting CDN technology in various geographic and social conditions, providing valuable lessons for other countries facing similar challenges. Additionally, the project promotes global collaboration in the development of network-based educational technologies. These benefits show that CDN implementation not only has a technical impact but also makes a broad contribution to human and societal development.
