Activity Summary

World conditions that are facing global case cases produce a slowdown in community economic movements and activities. This condition produces a disorder that forces changes in the economic system. However, some cases show that economic-based technology has a high economic durability level in the latest conditions. Even in some cases it becomes a motor drive from several communities, especially products that are related to the fulfillment of the basic needs of life (agriculture) and health (farmka). On the other hand, the effects of the pandemic are also relatively low in several traditional Indonesian societies who implement communal, sharing and circular economical systems (in this case are referred to as the economy of coity). This community service activity will be held in several village locations in Lampung Province with different characteristics , Like (1) the village with the main drive is Parawanita, (2) village with the main movers of youth, and (3) villages related to small and medium industries. Each village has a unique characteristic of natural and human resources but can be combined with the power sharings source. This activity is planned to be carried out for 2 years with Targetutama is to increase the economic durability and quality of life from the community in the villages that are targeted activities. Since early 2010 in biological science and technology schools, ITB has done several studies related to biological knowledge applications to solve Problems related to food, health, environment, and bio-based economy. This activity produces several models of appropriate technology such as honey bee colony nests for the needs of pollination and production of honey and propolis, organic waste processing systems with Caps (Conversion of Organic Refuse by Saprophages) which produce products in the form of biomass for animal feed and fertilizer, and Some agricultural methods are integrated for limited land and capital. All of these appropriate technology has been tested on several villages and partners in West Java and Banten by showing promising results indicated by the establishment of new economic units and increased ability to produce innovation. In this community service activity, the target of the activity is to produce improvements to the economic durability and the quality of life of the village community as the main partner and other groups around it through the application of the appropriate technology. In addition, applications, different environmental conditions allow for the formation of new innovations based on local resources that can be further developed with ITB as one of the science and technology learning centers.
