Activity Summary

This activity aims to develop a regional model and provide new, renewable energy for the Papan Island Fishing Tourism Village, Togean Islands, Central Sulawesi, with a focus on sustainable development of underdeveloped islands. Through collaboration between SAPPK ITB and Tadulako University, this activity integrates identifying regional characteristics, regional planning, and providing renewable energy-based infrastructure. The main results include the preparation of a site plan which includes dock repairs, environmental planning and local wisdom-based houses. This effort is expected to strengthen energy security with Solar Power Plants (PLTS) as well as increase cultural and ecotourism-based tourist attractions, empowering local communities economically and socially.
