The development of the Archipelago Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan aims to be a driving force for equitable development in Indonesia, with a focus on infrastructure development and empowerment of local communities. In this case, connectivity which includes transportation networks, energy, logistics and trade facilities is a key factor for regional sustainability. Although the Asian Highway route does not completely cross Indonesia, Indonesia plays an important role in strengthening international connectivity and economic integration in Southeast Asia. IKN planning, which focuses on the Regional Development Area II (WP2), includes the development of key sectors, such as transportation, energy and clean water distribution, which are expected to create 4,811,000 jobs.

The results of this service include two main outcomes: first, a roadmap for developing the IKN talent pool which sets out stages for developing local human resources in accordance with the needs of leading economic sectors in IKN; second, architectural design for the Talent Development Center, which aims to provide training and skills development facilities for the local community.

Through this roadmap, it is hoped that an innovation ecosystem will be created that encourages local community involvement in sustainable economic activities, as well as ensuring the development of IKN as an inclusive and knowledge-based economic superhub. With a comprehensive and collaborative approach, this community service is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of IKN and encourage sustainable social change, with a broad impact on local communities and the national economy.
