Activity Summary

Until now, Indonesia's marine waters have not been managed in a sustainable, inclusive and integrated manner. for the interests of the elite group using the guise of economic development. Indonesian seas are managed partially due to various sectoral laws and regulations that do not synergize with each other. This results in Indonesian marine management not being able to provide maximum prosperity to the Indonesian people and not paying attention to the sustainability of the Indonesian marine environment as mandated by Article 33 paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution.

Marine cadastre plays an important role in management an inclusive, integrated and sustainable ocean. Marine cadastre is the core of the marine management system which is built based on the concept of human relations with land with the aim of encouraging policy development and decision making in achieving sustainable development.
