Activity Summary

High school teachers must be increased in quality in teaching learning, especially geography. This is because rapid development in the field of geography is both concerning physical aspects (climate, agriculture, geodesiness, disaster, etc.) and social (economy, population, etc.). The development of information technology that is so fast often cannot be followed by teachers because of the various basic principles that are not well known. The source of information is widely found in the online world, but without the presence of a teacher, the average is difficult to take part in geographic material well as experienced by school students of various levels of education. On the other hand, Kalimantan is projected as the center where the capital city is located, requires qualified local resources. Superior human resource requirements are very resting on the ability of the young generation. Unfortunately the evidence of superior HR of the island of Kalimantan is not realized for example in the National Science Olympic / Competition (OSN / KSN) activities where the provinces of Kalimantan always occupy the lower second. In the field of geography, for more than 7 years the implementation of OSN / KSN, only one person included in the National Training (Pelatnas) in 2017 and died in the first national training. This is certainly inseparable from the role of geography teachers in high schools of all provinces in Kalimantan. The love of the country and the nation can be grown from geographic education which is transmitted from the start of the school environment. This is inseparable from the role of the teachers in guiding his students. Various complaints delivered by geography teachers to us on various occasions about their desire to progress and develop and with the above considerations, it is necessary for the tutorial for Geography teachers to Kalimantan's geography so that their quality increases from time to time. This also also maps the distribution of teacher quality on the island of Kalimantan so that it can be followed up. This training was carried out in a multi year so that the impact could be felt by teachers and students in the territory of Kalimantan Island.
