Sipirok District is located in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra with a height of places ranging from 300-1,845 m above sea level. Natural conditions are very potential for agricultural activities with superior commodities of plantations (coffee), vegetable plants (chili, onion), food (rice, corn). The results of the initial FGD in the "SITH ITB Sharing Action for Agricultural Development in South Tapanuli Regency (SITH ITB Cooperation with YPMHB)" There are major obstacles in agricultural development activities in Sipirok District, among others: (1) There is still necessary to increase productivity and quality of agricultural commodities mainly coffee and vegetables (chili), (2) Development of organic villages in Sipirok requires an increase in the availability of quality organic fertilizer because it is supported by a significant potential of agricultural waste, (3) Increasing the Skills of Farmers Utilizing Agricultural Waste and Organic Household Waste as an Material For organic fertilizer, and (4) limited working capital and marketing of agricultural products. To overcome these obstacles, community service will be carried out "Increasing the productivity of coffee and vegetable plants by optimizing local resources in Sipirok District, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province". The activity will be carried out with a partner, namely the Mekarsari Coffee Farmers Group, SAMPEAN Village (the number of 26 members) and the Mekar Sari Ramba Sihasur Farmers Group, Sipirok District, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province (24 people). The purpose to be carried out is (1) Application of Organic Fertilizer Technology Based on Local Resources, (2) Provision of Organic Fertilizer Availability to Support the Increasing Productivity and Quality of Coffee and Vegetable Plants and (3) Increasing the Skills of Farmers /Farmers' Families in Cultivation of Coffee and Vegetable Plants organically. The output to be achieved from this PKM activity is (1) the application of appropriate technology products for the community, and (2) the application of public service. Approaches/methods and methods of solving problems carried out to achieve goals and targets: (1) Approaches taken through discussion activities, training in increasing productivity of coffee and vegetables by optimizing local resources (2) Utilizing abundant local raw materials for Making organic fertilizer, and (3) making demonstration for making organic fertilizer and its applications in coffee and vegetable plants. Implementation of activities in April-November 2022 and partnered with the YPMHB team and local government partners namely Sipirok District, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province so that their activities were integrated to increase community income and welfare.
