The main final waste disposal site in Bandung Raya, the Sarimukti TPA, continues to experience a decrease in volume, one of the consequences of the fire that occurred in August 2023. The impact on West Bandung Regency is the reduction of the quota to TPA from 40 routes to 17 routes per day. One of the steps taken is to sort waste into organic waste and non-organic waste starting from home. One effective organic waste treatment is to use BSF (Black Soldier Fly) maggots. Every day BSF maggots can break down up to 50 times their body weight in waste. Nevada Downtown housing located in Gedobangkong Village tries to adopt this method and integrate it with public facilities, especially the unused parts by making raised beds filled with colorful flowers to decorate the public facilities. For the organic waste processing area, planted buckets are provided. This bucket is filled with maggots as decomposers. Residents are expected to put their organic waste into these buckets rather than giving it to the garbage collector.
